Ronaldo hits two goals on return to action
Ronaldo scored twice in a training game in Bormio yesterday as he reached another level of his Inter comeback.
It was the Brazilian star`s first game since the 2000 Coppa Italia final first leg in Rome against SS Lazio in April that a comeback from knee surgery ended after only seven minutes with another knee injury and more surgical treatment.
Inter beat Bormiese 17-0 with Kallon scoring 5 times and Turkish forward Sukur hitting 3 goals.
"I`m finally back on the pitch," he told Inter`s official website.
"The recovery period has been really tough. But now, it`s just wonderful to be back with the team and to feel like a footballer again."
"This could be the start of a great season. But we`ve got to work hard and do well. We have to show commitment and prove that we deserve to succeed."
"This team should be aiming for the championship. The club president has bought some great players, to make us competitive at the highest level throughout the coming season. "We just have to stay calm and be prepared."
