Senegal savour World Cup spot
106 mins FINAL: ALGERIA 1-1 EGYPT
Senegal qualify for their first World Cup finals as Egypt miss out.
97 mins Algeria nearly kill off Egypt`s hopes but Rafik Saifi`s powerful shot from inside the area is clawed away by Nader Sayed.
95 mins FINAL: NAMIBIA 0-5 SENEGAL Pape Diop just misses a sixth for a resurgent Senegal, but the whistle blows on a 5-0 win. There are no celebrations yet, as Egypt`s game has at least ten minutes to run.
81 mins 1-1 Egypt In the space of four minutes, the bubble has completely burst for Egypt, as Ghazi surges down the right and draws the keeper and a defender before poking the ball across the area for Yacine Bezzaz to score five minutes after coming on for his debut. Egypt now need an unlikely three goals, but the long delay means they have nearly 25 minutes.
80 mins 5-0 Senegal A late surge looks like proving crucial as the Namibia defence fail to cut out a cross, leaving Moussa N`Diaye with a simple finish.
77 mins 4-0 Senegal Diouf comes to Senegal`s rescue again as a foul on him brings a penalty from which Fadiga sends the keeper the wrong way. It means Senegal are back in pole position.
75 mins As Senegal defend desperately, in complete contrast to the first half, Algeria and Egypt get back on the pitch after a 15-minute delay. It appeared to be caused by fans throwing objects at the Egyptian bench after the penalty award, but players and officials refused to sit down even after the disturbance had ended. It meant the match would finish well after Senegal`s game.
68 mins Namibia have surprisingly turned up the pressure on Senegal, who feel the effects when their midfielder Pape Sarr is red-carded for a late challenge on Henrico Boles.
59 mins 1-0 Egypt Ahmed Hossam converts a highly dubious penalty, given for minimal contact by Moulay Haddou.
55 mins Egypt`s World Cup chances are almost wrecked by a stunning 30-yard shot from Algeria`s Karim Maouche which leaves keeper Nader Sayed no chance but crashes off the bar and almost out of the area.
54 mins A volley by Senegal striker Khalilou Fadiga seemed to be heading for the far post but fellow forward El Hadji Diouf`s header turned it off target.
46 mins Egypt begin the second half at a furious pace and seem to be well aware they might need goals, not just a victory.
Half-time: Namibia 0-3 Senegal, Algeria 0-0 Egypt
39 mins Pape Thiaw is just denied his hat-trick for Senegal, failing to beat the keeper from six yards after beating two defenders to set himself up.
38 mins After another strong Algeria run down the left is broken up, Egypt move the ball swiftly to set up Ahmed Hossam, whose clever volley from 30 yards has to be turned away for a corner by Hicham Mezair.
31 mins 3-0 Senegal Another Senegal goal from a surge into the box and neat cross, as Henri Camara sets up Pape Thiaw to score his second from close range.
30 mins Tempers flare in Namibia, but the home side take advantage to play a quick free-kick and from a well-placed cross, a header goes just wide.
29 mins Algeria put together their best spell by far after Ahmed Hassan is booked for a brutal challenge. A short free-kick from Rafik Saifi is neatly flicked into his own path by Farid Ghazi and his fierce low shot is superbly saved by Nader Sayed. The keeper rescues his side again from the ensuing corner by punching away as the ball looks like curving in directly.
23 mins 2-0 Senegal El Hadji Diouf grabs his eighth goal in qualifying, a simple finish after Pape Thiaw cuts in from the right and pulls back a low cross which again leaves the keeper way out of position.
19 mins After a good Algerian move down the left, a deep cross to the far post spelt danger for Egypt, but French-based pair Abdelhafid Tasfaout and Rafik Saifi got in each other`s way and a promising chance was wasted.
15 mins 1-0 Senegal Namibia`s goalkeeper comes off his line but misjudges a cross, allowing Pape Thiaw to beat his marker and place the ball into an empty net.
13 mins An astonishing miss by Egypt as a long-range free-kick from Ahmed Hossam is only parried by the keeper and El Sakka turns the loose ball across goal for Ayman Abdelaziz to somehow scoop the ball over an unguarded goal from three yards.
10 mins Namibia show they cannot be taken for granted with a 35-yard shot turned away for a corner.
9 mins Senegal striker El Hadji Diouf is caught fractionally offside from a fine pass which leaves him in front of the keeper.
1500GMT The games kick off, with both Senegal and Egypt needing to win to deny Morocco a place at the World Cup Finals. If Egypt win, Senegal need their margin of victory to be three goals better.
