Zambia lose key man
Injury has forced experienced striker Mwape Miti to drop out Zambia`s squad for the Nations Cup finals.
Mwiti is of several players seen as crucial to the Zambian cause in Mali.
But Danish coach Roald Poulsen revealed that Miti, who plays for Danish first division side OB Odense, will not travel to Mali because of a knee injury.
Mwape is not in our plans any longer, said Poulsen after the team`s training session in Lusaka on Monday.
Poulsen also expressed doubts over the availability of South African-based defender Joseph Bwalya.
Joseph is probably not coming. We`re picking the final 22 players from the 29 that are here.
This means Poulsen`s options have now been whittled down to the seven overseas players already in the country.
They are Andrew Tembo, Moses Sichone, Andrew Sinkala, Gift Kampamba, Dennis Lota, Hillary Makasa and Harry Milanzi.
Poulsen said he will pick the final 22-man squad after Saturday`s friendly against Tanzania in Lusaka.
