City remember Foe
MEMORIAL: Marc`s children Scott and Lesley join John Wardle at the ceremony
A LASTING memorial to the memory of Marc Vivien Foe was planted on Friday at the City of Manchester Stadium by two of his children.
It is exactly a year since the Cameroon midfielder, who enjoyed a successful spell on loan with the Blues and was the last City player to score at Maine Road, collapsed and died when playing for his country in a Confederations Cup tie with Colombia.
His son Scott and eldest daughter Lesley, pictured with City chairman John Wardle, joined a small gathering that included vice- chairman Brian Bodek and director Dennis Tueart.
Club chaplain the reverend Tony Porter, led a time of prayer, while a Blue Moon rose was planted and a plaque was unveiled in the Memorial Garden at Eastlands.
