Elite championship partially wraps-up
The national elite championship partially ended on Wednesday, November 14 with only seven of the eight matches taken place.
In Yaounde, host team, Cintra lost to Fovu of Baham 0 – 2. It was a tst before the national football finals that is expected to pit the two clubs. In the second encounter Olympic played a 1 - 1 against Cotonsport of Garoua.
In Bandjoun, Stade lambaste Esperance of Guider 4 – 0.
Before yesterday`s last playing day, Cotonsport of Garoua had been declared champion with 57 points, while Olympic, Dynamo and Gerondins were relegated to the second division league.
Cotonsport accompanied by runners-up Tonnerre will be the two Cameroonian representatives in next year`s African champions league and CAF cup competitions respectively.
