Morocco shock Senegal
International friendly: Morocco 1-0 Senegal
Morocco ruined the first match in charge for new Senegal boss Guy Stephan by taking a 1-0 victory over the Dakar Lions in Paris.
A 63rd-minute goal from Abdelilah Saber was the score of the game.
But the match was marred by a pitch invasion that delayed the kick-off for nearly two hours.
As the referee brought the teams out onto the pitch, about 1,000 fans of both sides scaled low-level fencing in order to get closer to their idols.
Both teams immediately retreated to the dressing rooms while extra security was summoned and order restored.
When the game eventually got under way, it evolved into an entertaining match, though there were few chances.
While Senegal were playing many of their World Cup squad - including the Liverpool duo of El Hadji Diouf and Salif Diao - Morocco fielded a mainly makeshift side.
The first half was lit up by occasional flashes of magic from Diouf, but it was Sabre who had the best chance of the opening 45 minutes, his shot flashing over the bar.
And having served notice of his intention, Sabre finally delivered with a low shot midway through the second period.
Senegal began to finally push more seriously, but by that point it was mostly too late against a well-disciplined Atlas Lions back line.
Elsewhere in France, Mali`s Eagles pulled off a 1-0 win over Guinea in Toulon.
Doukhane got the only goal on 20 minutes.
