Tunisia coach Souayah resigns
Ammar Souayah has resigned as coach of the Tunisian national team.
In a letter to the Tunisian Football Federation, he said that his poor health has made it impossible for him to continue in the post.
Souayah and Khemais Labidi were named as joint national team coaches early this year, replacing Frenchman Henri Michel, who resigned after a poor African Nations Cup outing in Mali.
The coaching duo led the national team to the World Cup in Japan but failed to go beyond the first round.
Labidi, who remains with the team, will work with the Technical Director, Youssef Zouaoui, until a suitable foreign coach is found.
Both are expected to prepare the national team for a friendly match against France on 21 August.
The North African country is hosting the African Nations Cup in 2004.
