Cameroon Cup shocks
It is the year of the minnows in the current Cup of Cameroon, as teams from the lower divisions continue to advance at the expense of better known teams.
Five division one teams, including Coton Sport Garoua, Tonnerre Yaounde, Racing Bafoussam and Cup holders, Fovu Baham have been knocked out.
In their first match in the competition, Fovu Baham lost to Espoir Ebolowa, a division two side, while Coton Sport were beaten by Pmuc, also in the second division.
Tonnerre, which has been at the receiving end of less fancied teams in recent years, were sent packing by Caiman Douala.
The University of Ngaoundere, located in Northern Cameroon, played some scintillating football to edge out Stade Bandjoun 1-0.
Teams that have survived the challenge of the smaller teams include Sable Batie who edged Union Abongbang 2-1 and former cup winners, Kumbo Strikers, who eliminated AS Tchouc Kekem 2-0.
