Cameroon include Lauren
Arsenal`s Lauren Etame Mayer has been included in Cameroon`s squad for their first 2006 World Cup and African Cup of Nations qualifier.
The Indomitable Lions` coach Winfried Schaefer has named 25 players for their Group C encounter in Yaounde against Benin on 6 June.
Lauren has not played for Cameroon since a disappointing 2002 World Cup campaign, despite being included in the squad to play Bulgaria in a friendly in April.
However Schaefer has worked had in the last two months to convince Lauren to rejoin the Indomitable Lions.
The list also confirms the return of Spain-based Pierre Wome and Joel Epalle who plays for Panathinaikos in Greece, both of whom were dropped from the squad for the 2004 Nations Cup finals last February.
Cameroon will be looking to bounce back from their 3-0 loss to Bulgaria when they face Benin in Yaounde.
The squad will begin their training camp in the Cameroon capital Yaounde on 31 May just six days before the game against Benin.
