Oliseh transfer in limbo
Former Nigeria captain Sunday Oliseh has said the high transfer fee placed on him by his current club, Borussia Dortmund, has scuppered his departure to the Spanish league.
Oliseh, who was absent from the World Cup finals, told BBC Sport Online that three Spanish teams had made offers to his German club but none came close to meeting Dortmund`s transfer valuation.
"Dortmund placed a value of 7.5 million Euros ($7.5m) on me but the clubs that are interested in signing me are not willing to pay the fee."
The German champions say Oliseh has been `released` from his contract but the Nigerian says he remains on the club`s books.
"I still have three years left on my contract and I have been preparing for the new season with them, so I am still a Dortmund player.
"I have had meetings with the club`s management to discuss my situation, so we will have to see what happens," he said.
Spanish club Real Betis made an offer to buy Oliseh last season but could agree upon a fee.
They subsequently took his Nigerian colleague Victor Ikpeba on loan but he has also been released by Dortmund.
