Arsenal`s Welcome Back Song
After releasing their Cameroonian star to compete in the Olympics, Arsenal are welcoming back Alexandre Song, who can play in either defence or midfield...
Alexandre Song has rejoined the north London ranks and may even start the match against Fulham, as Arsenal are short on midfielders.
Song, who has often impressed for Cameroon having made the African Cup of Nations team of the tournament at the turn of the year, can again be proud of his performances for Lions Indomptables.
Now the 20-year old will hope to translate his national form to his club. As Arsene Wenger confirmed his inclusion for the Fulham game on Saturday. "Song is [in the squad]," the Gunners chief told journalists at a pre-match press conference.
On his stars who are being nursed back to fitness, Wenger added: "Cesc is doing well in training. He won`t be ready for Saturday but has a chance to be okay for Wednesday. We don`t want to gamble on him for one game - we have to be patient."
"[Abou] Diaby isn`t too far away and hopefully there will be good news on [Tomas] Rosicky in the next two weeks."
Mikael Silvestre may be on the bench, despite being initially ruled out with a slight muscle injury.
