SCHALKE 04 2 VFB STUTTGART 1
Polish defender Tomasz Waldoch opened the scoring for the home side with a 60th minute header. Stuttgart goalkeeper Timo Hildenbrand actually blocked the ball but the referee ruled he was standing behind his line.
The visitors equalised through Brazilian striker Adhemar in the 78th minute before Danish striker Ebbe Sand scored the winner for Schalke a few seconds from time, keeping them in contention for their first German title in 44 years.

HERTHA BERLIN 6 HAMBURG SV 0
Belgium midfielder Bart Goor hit four goals in Hertha`s spectacular victory. Striker Michael Preetz and Brazilian midfielder Marcelinho also scored as the Berlin club took revenge for a 4-0 defeat to the same opponents earlier this season.
Hamburg were 5-0 down when they had midfielder Colin Benyamin sent off for a second bookable offence one minute from time.

Bayern wing-back Michael Tarnat hit the post from a penalty in the 32nd minute of this city derby after Brazilian striker Elber was brought down in the box.
Midfielder Paulo Sergio put the European champions ahead in the 72nd minute but the visitors levelled three minutes later through Austrian defender Martin Stranzl after a defensive blunder from Ciriaco Sforza. Midfielder Thorsten Fink hit the winner with a header from close range just before time.

Leverkusen took an early lead after Brazilian midfielder Ze Roberto headed home from a Carsten Ramelow cross in the 12th minute. Bulgarian Dimitar Berbatov sealed the league leaders` victory with a last-minute effort.

Striker Nico Patschinski offered St Pauli three much-needed points by scoring the only goal of the game against the run of play in the 57th minute. Freiburg played the last eight minutes with 10 men after French midfielder Abder Ramdane was sent off for a nasty tackle.

Midfielder Thorsten Frings exploited a blunder from Nuremberg goalkeeper Darius Kampa to open the scoring after five minutes. Two goals from Brazilian striker Ailton followed to give the visitors a 3-0 cushion at halftime. Canadian midfielder Paul Stalteri inflicted more punishment on strugglers Nuremberg with a header from a corner in the 51st minute.

VFL WOLFSBURG 5 COLOGNE 1
Two goals from Argentine striker Diego Klimowicz and one from midfielder Tobias Rau had given the home side a 3-0 lead when striker Markus Kreuz reduced the arrears for bottom-placed Cologne just before the interval.
Klimowicz then set up Bulgarian striker Martin Petrov for Wolsfburg`s fourth goal in the 62nd minute. Slovakian midfielder Miroslav Karhan completed the demolition in the 77th minute.

The visitors were reduced to 10 men when Egyptian defender Hany Ramzy was sent off for a second bookable offence in the 31st minute. Sweden striker Magnus Arvidsson opened the scoring for Rostock from just inside the box six minutes later.
Kaiserslautern equalised through Germany striker Miroslav Klose in the 72nd minute, only to see Rostock`s Swedish midfielder Marcus Lantz score the winner a few seconds afterwards.

BORUSSIA DORTMUND 3 BOR. MOENCHENGLADBACH 1
Denmark midfielder Peter Nielsen hit the back of his own net under pressure from Brazilian striker Ewerthon to give Dortmund a 1-0 lead after 10 minutes. The visitors levelled four minutes into the second half courtesy of another own goal, this time from Dortmund`s Brazilian defender Dede.
Brazilian striker Marcio Amoroso was brought down in the box and converted the resulting penalty in the 63rd minute for his 14th goal of a season to give Dortmund a 2-1 lead. Czech forward Jan Koller wrapped it up for the home side in the 77th minute.
