Boss on Santos and Suffo futures
Neil Warnock has effectively shut the door on the Sheffield United futures of both Georges Santos and Patrick Suffo for their part in Saturday`s abandoned match with WBA.
But he accepts that goalkeeper Simon Tracey`s red card for handling outside the box was the sort of occupational hazard that will occasionally happen.
After asserting that Albion should be awarded the three points the Blades` boss went on to talk about the measures he had taken against Santos and Suffo:
"I have had a long chat with Georges and he understands the situation, although he still feels he got the ball.
"Patrick has been fined the maximum two weeks` wages and I have placed him on the transfer list. This was the last straw for me although Patrick wants to apologise to Derek McInnes, our supporters and directors for his actions.
"He has let us down by losing his head in the heat of the moment and I won`t tolerate that at our Club, so he is on the list with immediate effect.
"We will take disciplinary action against all the players but obviously the severity of the actions taken by Georges and Patrick mean they will be fined the maximum allowed by the PFA.
"I cannot see Georges playing for us again this season. Simon Tracey`s dismissal was one of those things and he will receive the standard punishment for his red card.
"We totally refute the allegation that we invented injuries and Gary Megson has excelled himself in making those comments.
"Yes, we did tell Michael Brown to come off if he was injured - because there was no point in hobbling about and making things worse with another game coming up on Tuesday night. We couldn`t legislate for Rob Ullathorne going down with a muscle spasm."Hits: 1 | Source:Autres
