BRESCIA 1 LAZIO 1
Jaap Stam returned from his four-month doping ban and 20-year-old youth product Felice Evacuo was placed alongside Hernan Crespo in attack for beleaguered Lazio.
After an uneventful first half, Lazio took the lead in the 56th minute when Crespo was left unmarked to turn in a Claudio Lopez cross for his 100th career Serie A goal.
In the final minute Giuseppe Pancaro brought down Jonathan Bachini for a penalty. Roberto Yllana`s spot-kick struck the inside of the crossbar but the ball bounced back into the goal to draw strugglers Brescia level.

Poor defending by the home side on the hour mark allowed Julio Cruz room to control a cross and score from close range.

JUVENTUS 1 VERONA 0
After wave after wave of attacking by Juventus, the deadlock was eventually broken when Pavel Nedved combined with Nicola Amoruso and blasted a powerful finish under the crossbar in the 38th minute.

LECCE 1 INTER MILAN 2
Lecce attempted to close down the visitors but also went close to scoring as Javier Chevanton`s first half blast was superbly saved by Inter goalkeeper Francesco Toldo.
It took a magnificent solo effort from Alvaro Recoba to rescue a struggling Inter side. Five minutes before the half, the Uruguayan international, celebrating his 26th birthday, ran for 50 metres chased by two defenders before sliding a low drive past Lecce goalkeeper Antonio Chimenti.
Recoba made the points safe midway through the second half. Clarence Seedorf`s effort was parried, but the Uruguayan turned in the loose ball from six yards out.
Croatian Davor Vugrinec pulled a goal back for Lecce in injury time for his eighth of the season. The win brought Inter level with AS Roma for the league lead.

AC MILAN 2 TORINO 1
A 79th minute header from Massimo Ambrosini lifted AC Milan to a much needed victory over Torino in a match that saw striker Filippo Inzaghi return from injury.
After a goalless first half, Georgian defender Kakha Kaladze connected on a left foot volley that looked like a cross but went over the head of goalkeeper Luca Bucci for a 51st minute Milan lead.
Soon after Torino forward Marco Ferrante was brought down in the box by defender Cosmin Contra. Ferrante himself calmly slotted home the penalty for his 10th goal of the season.
Milan pushed forward in search of their first victory in five league matches and found the back of the net when Ambrosini headed home from a corner kick.

PERUGIA 2 PARMA 1
Perugia took the lead after just eight minutes as goalkeeper Oscar Cordoba`s long kick met Zisis Vryzas, who fought off Parma defender Martin Djetou and drilled home past goalkeeper Claudio Taffarel.
Striker Fabio Bazzani met Fabian O`Neill`s corner kick and doubled the lead for Serse Cosmi`s side on the half-hour mark.
Parma were able to get back into the match when Cordoba only managed to parry a Hidetoshi Nakata effort, allowing Emiliano Bonazzoli`s to follow up for his fifth goal of the season.
Turkish international Hakan Sukur wasted two excellent opportunities in injury time to draw level for struggling Parma, who remain mired in the relegation zone.

UDINESE 1 PIACENZA 1
The deadlock was broken when Piacenza`s Carmine Gautieri dived at substitute Vincenzo Sommese`s cross, colliding with the upright as he scored. It was Piacenza`s only attempt on goal of the entire first half.
The visitors were forced to play for the last 37 minutes with just 10 men after Francesco Statuto saw red for a challenge on the influential Roberto Muzzi.
Muzzi continued to battle away almost by himself and grabbed the late equaliser with a magnificent bicycle-kick that left Piacenza goalkeeper Paolo Orlandoni with no chance.

Played on Saturday:
AS ROMA 3 ATALANTA 1
Atalanta started off well and went close to scoring through Fausto Rossini, but the pressure of the league leaders wore the visitors down.
Brazilian Assuncao, replacing the injured Francesco Totti, saw his 17th minute free kick flicked on by Vincenzo Montella for the opening goal. Soon after, youngster Antonio Cassano`s through ball was deflected by veteran defender Massimo Carrera into his own net for a two goal Roma lead after 29 minutes.
In the second half Cristiano Doni brought two fine saves out of Francesco Antonioli, but once again Montella managed to control a Cassano pass and squeeze his angled drive past the goalkeeper for his second goal of the game and sixth in two matches.
Doni scored a late consolation goal for Atalanta six minutes from time giving the Italy international 16 goals on the season.
