German first division match reports

Reports of German first division matches played on Sunday:
SC FREIBURG 1 BORUSSIA DORTMUND 5
Dortmund scored four goals in five minutes for their best win of the season, which keeps them in second place just one point behind leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
Georgian midfielder Levan Kobiaschvili opened the scoring for the home side from a freekick in the ninth minute, but Brazilian defender Evanilson equalised six minutes later.
Dortmund took the lead courtesy of another Brazilian defender, Dede, in the 65th minute. A header from Brazilian striker Marcio Amoroso and a couple of goals from Czech forward Jan Koller followed in quick succession.

TSV 1860 MUNICH 1 SCHALKE 04 2
Schalke 04 had a late goal from Denmark striker Ebbe Sand to thank for a victory which kept them four points off the lead and still in the race for the title.
Germany midfielder Gerald Asamoah opened the scoring for the visitors after three minutes. The Munich side levelled through Australian striker Paul Agostino in the 81st minute, but Sand hit the winner two minutes later.

Kaiserslautern earned a penalty in the 12th minute when midfielder Mario Basler was brought down in the box by France wingback Bixente Lizarazu but Bayern goalkeeper Oliver Kahn saved Basler`s effort.
Bayern wasted many chances after the break to slip five points off the lead, undermining their chances of a record fourth straight German title.
The home side played the last 12 minutes with 10 men after losing Greek midfielder Dimitrios Grammozis for a second bookable offence.

HAMBURG SV 1 VFL WOLFSBURG 1
Argentine Diego Klimowicz opened the scoring just before halftime for Wolfsburg, who then had defender Maik Franz sent off in the 55th minute for bringing down Argentine striker Bernardo Romeo when he was in a position to score.
Bosnian striker Sergej Barbarez collected a fine pass from Dutch forward Erik Meijer to level the tie in the 67th minute.

Defender Denis Lapaczinski opened the scoring with an overhead kick in the 62nd minute before two goals from Brazilian striker Alex Alves sealed another impressive victory for in-form Hertha.

Nuremberg`s American midfielder Anthony Sanneh hit the back of his own net under pressure from Ghanaian striker Lawrence Aidoo for the only goal of a relatively dull match in the 28th minute.

Brazilian striker Franklin showed Energie Cottbus the way with an acrobatic volley in the 20th minute. Bosnian striker Marko Topic then scored two goals in quick succession to complete the scoreline before the interval.

Thomas Brdaric put the visitors ahead from six metres out in the 40th minute before striking partner Dimitar Berbatov added another with a volley from a fine cross by playmaker Yildiray Basturk virtually on the halftime whistle.
Stuttgart`s hopes of a fightback suffered a blow when Brazilian defender Marcelo Bordon was sent off for a second bookable offence in the 79th minute.

COLOGNE 4 HANSA ROSTOCK 2
Cologne bravely fought back from two goals down for their fourth victory of the season but they remain last and in danger of being relegated.
Swedish striker Magnus Arvidsson put the visitors in the lead with a headed goal in the sixth minute and hit another in the 33rd minute for a 2-0 lead at halftime.
Midfielder Dirk Lottner restored hope for the home side by scoring one minute into the second half.
Rostock had goalkeeper Perry Braeutigam sent off for handling the ball outside the box in the 69th minute. Midfielder Christian Springer then scored for Cologne seven minutes later and striker Matthias Scherz wrapped up the win with a fourth in the 90th minute.
