Bamenda claw back Douanes
Cameroon side Bamenda pulled back a late goal to pull level with Senegal`s Douanes in a 2-2 draw in the first leg of their Confederations Cup tie.
Bamenda went ahead early on, Ketchanga Bakamen netting after 18 minutes.
But goals from Nicolas Dione on 33 minutes and then Mactar Mangane eight minutes after half time gave the Senegalese a crucial advantage.
However, Matio Adongo`s 82nd-minute effort was at least enough to restore parity - although the away goals rule means that Bamenda will have to score at least once in Dakar in the return leg.
Meanwhile in the same competition, Liberty Professions of Ghana beat Tunisia`s Stade Tunisien 3-2.
Felix Baffoe was the hero for the Ghanaians, scoring twice.
He got his first on 26 minutes, cancelling out Beffan Daassi`s opener for the Tunisians, and then secured the winner in injury time - after two penalties in five minutes, one for either side, had taken the score to 2-2.
There was another five goals in the match between Cameroon`s Sable de Batie and Madagascar`s Leopards Transfoot - with Sable claiming an emphatic 4-1 win.
Ngom Some opened the scoring for the Cameroonians on 8 minutes, although that was cancelled out by Mouze Sahadi`s 22nd minute equaliser.
But goals from Herman Nzumafo, Jorge Emaleu and Ngom again quickly turned the match into a rout.
Much less exciting was the match in the Ivory Coast - where Stella Abidjan were held to a 0-0 draw with Wydad Casablanca.
Another Moroccan side held 0-0 was FAR Rabat, involved in a home stalemate with Tunisia`s Stade Africian.
In Nigeria, a brace from Ladi Gasper was enough to give Lobi a 2-1 victory over Green Buffaloes of Zambia in Makurdi.
The Nigerians were two goals up until the 90th minute, when Christopher Kantogo got an important goal for the visitors to set up an explosive second leg in Zambia.
George Luanda coach of Buffaloes paid glowing tribute to his players after the game.
"We had one clear chance at goal and we took it. Lobi will fall in the second leg and we will start our preparation immediately we arrive Zambia," he told BBC Sport.
"Lobi players are skilful but lack the killer instinct in front of goal" he added.
Etoile Guinea were held to a goalless draw by Enugu Rangers of Nigeria in Conakry.
