Song linked with German switch
English Premiership side West Ham`s Rigobert Song has been linked with a move to German club Cologne on loan for the remainder of the season.
The defender, who has struggled to establish himself at Upton Park following a number of indifferent performances, has been targeted by the German side, with reports suggesting they want to take him on loan initially with an option to buy the Cameroon international outright if he impresses.
However, manager Glenn Roeder is thought to be looking to sell players and would be unwilling to let the 25-year-old go out on loan.
The former Liverpool defender, who moved to The Hammers in a £2million deal from Anfield following the sale of Rio Ferdinand last year, had vowed earlier in the season to stay and fight for his place but it seems his days at Upton Park could be numbered.
However, Cologne are now believed to be searching for a striker having already signed Swiss defender Marc Zellweger earlier in the week, suggesting a move for Song is unlikely at the moment.
