Boxing: Sakio Bika Shines in Australia
Says he’s not scared to fight anybody.
Cameroon 2000 Olympic boxer, Sakio Bika, alias "Scorpion" is making headline news in Australia. The middleweight champion has improved his punching with more accurate combinations and must be one of the strongest in the world at middleweight. Reports by a local correspondent in Sydney hold that last Friday the boxer had a second round knockout win over "Moechrody" from Indonesia.
The 24 year-old took control early in the 1st round with some good left hooks to the body. This left the Indonesian’s right eye swollen midway through the round. Down at the end of the 2nd round from two right hooks to the body, "Moechrody" was unable to beat the count and referee Gary Dean waved off the contest at the 2.52 minute mark.
In the ring after the fight, Bika and trainer Jeff Fenech, challenged the best middleweights around the world. "I want people to know that I am not scared to fight anybody. I challenge everybody in England, America, Asia and South Africa. I am proud to challenge everybody. I am very confident working with Jeff Fenech, Billy Hussein and all the guys at Team Fenech", said Bika after the win. "We’ll fight anybody. This is going to show you. He is hungry and he is going to go all the way", his trainer, Jeff Fenech added.
