Bafana Bafana friendlies
South Africa will play two friendly matches against Zimbabwe and Angola as part of their final preparations for the African Nations Cup finals.
Bafana Bafana play their northern neighbours in Harare on 12 January before clashing with the Angolans in Johannesburg three days later.
The 1996 African champions have also lined-up three practice matches for which no caps will be awarded.
They play Mozambique in Nelspruit on 21 November and Botswana in Gaborone a week later. On 12 December Bafana Bafana will be in Mbabane to face Swaziland.
Fixture congestion
But national coach Carlos Queiroz has voiced concern that the domestic Premier Soccer League (PSL) programme may disrupt his Nations Cup preparations.
"It`s a major challenge for us to try and fit in a proper training programme in between all the PSL fixtures," said Queiroz.
The chief executive officer of the South African Football Association, Danny Jordaan, has promised to sort out the problem with the PSL management.
Danny Jordaan wants the team prepared
"We have to get our priorities right. The national team has qualified for the two biggest tournaments in the sport and yet we are battling to get players into camp due to the fact that we have a fixture backlog.
Jordaan said the PSL season may have to be extended in order to give Queiroz and his players enough time to prepare.
He said: "We cannot go to Mali or Asia unprepared. We surely have learnt our lesson from the previous World Cup finals in France in 1998."
