Eto`o fails to arrive for SA game
Cameroon superstars Samuel Eto`o and Geremi Njitap have failed to arrive in South Africa as scheduled.
The Indomitable Lions players were expected to arrive on Tuesday morning ahead of Wednesday night`s Nelson Mandela Challenge game against Bafana Bafana in Rustenburg, but have failed to show up.
Eto`o is reported to have missed his flight from Spain that would have brought him to OR Tambo International Airport in good time for the game at Olympia Park.
Cameroon officials have refused to comment on his and Geremi`s whereabouts and whether the two would arrive on a later flight barely 12 hours before the kick-off against Bafana.
Bafana team manager Sipho Nkumane said he was "in the dark like everyone else" as to whether the three-times African "Footballer of the Year" would arrive in South Africa for a game which he has been billed as the "main attraction".
This comes after both the South Africa Football Association (SAFA) and FECAFOOT, the Cameroonian football federation, assured the presence of the two players.
