Batistuta out of Cameroon friendly
Gabriel Batistuta has not been included in Argentina`s squad for the World Cup warm-up game with Cameroon on 27 March.
The Roma striker, who holds the Argentinean record of 55 goals in 75 games, has played only once for his country in the last year.
It is still not certain if he will make the trip to Japan and South Korea.
But a striker who has come into contention is 35-year-old Claudio Caniggia, who is named again after returning from the international wilderness.
He played in Argentina`s last game against Wales in February.
The venue for the match against the 2002 African Cup of Nations champions has yet to be decided.
But it is expected to take place in Geneva.
Argentina last played Cameroon in the opening game of the 1990 World Cup, where the Indomitable Lions won 1-0 after a second-half goal from Omam-Biyik.
