Tunisia drop their Brazilian
Tunisia`s coach Henri Michel has left out Brazilian-born midfielder Adailton from his 22-man squad for Mali 2002.
In announcing his final selection Michel said the player had failed to live up to expectations.
Adailton, who plays for Tunisian champions Esperance, decided to revoke his Brazilian citizenship so he could play for the North Africans.
He was included in a full-strength squad for a friendly against Togo in November.
"Adailton has not convinced me during recent matches and I chose to call on Slim Ben Achour to replace him", said Michel.
New players named in the squad include Bassam Daassi and Jamel Zabi, who both performed well in Sunday`s 7-2 thrashing of Liberia.
Player ban
Zabi scored three goals while Daassi claimed two.
They were bought in as replacements for three players who were excluded from the national squad after violent incidents in club matches.
They are striker Imed Benyounes and defender Mohamed Mkacher, as well as goalkeeper Mohamed Zouabi. Tunisia are due to play Cameroon in a friendly on Friday at the Olympic Stadium in Tunis.
