Keegan hails key man Foe
Manchester City manager Kevin Keegan told the Premiership sharp-shooters to watch out after Marc-Vivien Foe scored twice against Charlton.
Foe`s brace at The Valley rounded off a stirring comeback by City after they had fallen 2-0 behind.
The Cameroon midfielder carried on where he left off at Sunderland on Monday when he scored his goal of the season.
Keegan said: "Foe has not scored for 15 weeks so three in a week is not bad.
"Nicolas Anelka, Alan Shearer and Ruud van Nistelrooy better watch out - Marc is after the golden boot!"
Foe is on a season-long loan deal from Lyon and Keegan said: "We have an option to buy him and have got to decide in March. He won`t be cheap.
"He`s been playing in the holding position but there is a bit more to him than that.
"He`s shown that in the last two games and has given our play an extra dimension.
"We can`t just rely on Anelka and Shaun Goater to get the goals. We need other players to weigh in."
Charlton took the lead through a Jason Euell penalty and when Claus Jensen added a second just after the hour mark it looked like a fifth successive win for the Addicks.
Kevin Lisbie saw a close-range shot beaten away by goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel and that proved to be the turning point.
Keegan said: "We were fortunate when Schmeichel made that great save at 2-0 because you`ve always got a chance."
Charlton manager Alan Curbishley was disappointed at the way his side had squandered three points.
He said: "Lisbie needs to score more goals. If he had got a third for us it would have lifted the atmosphere.
"I haven`t seen the video of the chance he missed but perhaps Schmeichel is still an imposing figure.
"As it was City went very offensive and took full advantage when we took our foot off the pedal."
