Atouba keen on Bhoys switch
by Ronnie Cully
CELTIC target Timothee Atouba today broke cover and indicated Parkhead is a place where he would enjoy playing his football.
The £2million-rated Cameroon left-back is currently on holiday, but is happy to leave it to the SPL champions and Hamburg to negotiate a deal for his transfer.
He knows all about Celtic and said: "They are one of the most popular teams in the world. Their stadium is fantastic and their fans are among the best."

But the former Basel and Spurs man - who has endured a turbulent couple of seasons at the Bundesliga club - would not confirm if he knew of a definite offer from Celtic.
He said: "What I know is my contract with Hamburg will expire in 2009, so I can`t say anything. I`m under contract, it`s up to the clubs."
The list of players linked with the SPL champions continues to grow and the latest to be added is Portuguese Under-21 left back Vitorino Antunes.
He is currently playing for Roma - alongside another man interesting Celtic, midfielder Matteo Brighi - and it is reported the Parkhead side are contemplating trying to broker a loan deal for the youngster.
Georgios Samaras was a successful loan signing last season. And, having just completed giving evidence in the trial of former Manchester City team-mate Joey Barton, the Greek striker is now free to concentrate fully on deciding where his future lies.
Derek Riordan`s Parkhead purgatory could be over within the next 48 hours - if Burnley finally agree to improve their offer for the unsettled 25-year-old.
Celtic previously rejected Burnley`s offer of £400,000 offer for Riordan, even though it would have risen to £800,000 if the former Hibs star plays a certain number of games and the club won promotion to the top flight.
They have held firm to their valuation of £1m and, despite the gap between what he wants to pay and what Celtic will accept, boss Owen Coyle has kept Riordan in his signing sights.
Now he hopes that, with the player about to enter the final year of his contract, a compromise deal can be struck and an offer of around £750,000 is anticipated to land on Strachan`s desk within the next few days.
Riordan could be joined on the way out by Evander Sno, who is still waiting to hear if Osasuna will follow through with their intention to tender a £1.5m offer for him.
