Handball: Cameroon at Semi-Finals of Nations Cup
The female national handball team came first in Group A.
There is hope of Cameroon grabbing a medal at the ongoing Handball African Cup of Nations championship in Cairo, Egypt, following the brilliant performance of the female squad in the first round. Cameroon presently heads Group A with six points after three matches. They are closely followed by Angola with four points.
As head of Group A, Cameroon will meet Cote d`Ivoire, the runner up in group B in the semi final. The Tunisian women, head of Group B, will play against Angola, which emerged second in group A in the second semi-final encounter.
The Cameroonian men’s team has already been eliminated from the competition. In the men’s series, Tunisia will today clash with Angola, while Algeria meets Egypt, the hosts in the semi-final matches.
