Job to consider future after World Cup
Middlesbrough striker Joseph-Desire Job has said that he is likely to return to the club after ending his loan spell at Metz, but hopes to attract some interest from other clubs while playing for Cameroon in the World Cup. "A lot can happen in a World Cup," he said.
The forward was left out of Cameroon`s squad for the African Nations Cup in January as he was trying to establish himself at Metz after just securing a loan move from Middlesbrough, where he had failed to win a place in Steve McClaren`s team.
But the striker is hopeful of making Winfried Schafer`s World Cup squad after being including in a provisional 29-man squad for a training camp in the Netherlands.
Job said: "I expect to go back but that depends on my performances in the World Cup.
"I am glad to be back in the Cameroon squad and I did not feel like a stranger because I have played with most of the other players. I really want to make the final 23 and I am really motivated."
Job has been in fine form recently and played well in a recent friendly in Yaounde. Cameroon play Denmark in a friendly on May 17 with Schafer announcing his squad the following day.
