Nigeria and Egypt race into top 20 of FIFA rankings.
LONDON (Reuters) - Egypt rose 15 places to enter the top 20 in the FIFA world rankings after winning the African Nations Cup last weekend.
Egypt are ranked 17th, their highest ranking since 1998.
Nigeria, up 12 places to 12th, and Cameroon, up seven to 16th, also benefit from their displays at the continental tournament in Egypt. Nigeria came third in the competition and Cameroon reached the quarter-finals.
Ivory Coast, the beaten finalists, rose 10 places to 32nd in the rankings which show no changes in the top five. World champions Brazil lead the Czech Republic with Netherlands in third.
