Cameroon´s celebrations on reaching the Confederations Cup final were dramatically cut short as players learned team-mate Marc-Vivien Foe had died.
Foe was taken away on a stretcher after collapsing in the second half of the 1-0 victory over Colombia.
He was given mouth-to-mouth resuscitation before being taken off the field.
Earlier, Pius Ndiefi had scored the only goal of the semi-final, converting from close range after nine minutes from a Mohamadou Idrissou header back across goal.
Colombia tried to make up for a poor first half and were up against 10 men when Bill Tchato was red carded after 69 minutes.
/>But, despite hitting the woodwork twice, Colombia failed to break down a resolute defence.
