 Boukar Alioum
Position: Gardien
Alioum Boukar is Cameroon`s undisputed number one.His nickname is `The Panther` Boukar demonstrated at the African Nations Cup - which he won for the second time - that he is a good shot-stopper and commands his area well. He has win over 40 international caps.
He was his country`s hero in the final against Senegal as he pushed out two penalties as the Indomitable Lions won the shoot-out – and the tournament.

Position: Gardien
Songo´o Jacques is the player with the most experience in the cameroonian squad.Jacques has prooved that he is a powerful area goalkeeper and can place his defense very good.
Songo´o started his international career 1989 at toulon. 1993 he joined Metz after one year in le Mans.1996 he won the french league cup and was interessant for Deportivo la Coruna who bought him this year. He will make 150 games for this team before he returns 2002 to FC Metz to get more praxis for the african nation cup and the world cup.

Kameni Idriss,Carlos
Position: Gardien
Idriss is the youngest football player ever to win a gold medal at the Olympics.
He is an extrem athletic keeper with excellent reaction face to face. He proved it with some incredible saves as Cameroon beat Bresil in Sydney with nine players.He is also a penalty killer and proved it by giving the gold medal to his team in sydney after stopping penalty of spain.
After a successful trial by Le Havre in france, he is now performing his areagame by Juventus Turin and will be surely the next goalkeeper of cameroon after Alioum Boucar.

Song Bahanag,Rigobert
Position: Défenseur
Rigobert Song Bahanag is the “ Braveheart” of the lions. He represents the winning spirit of the team and is known as a very hard physical player. The captain of the lions knows how to welcome new players in the team because he makes his whole career in all national teams of cameroon.
He went as the joungest player cameroon´s to the world cup 1994 with 18 years and will go to his third participation after 1998. Rigobert who has finish all the african nation cup turnier without a red card has perform himself to make controlled tacles .
After Tonnerre de Yaoundé, he joined FC Metz 1995 where he played till the world cup 1998. he signed a contrat with liverpool 1998 and changed to West Ham United on 2000. The new german coach of the lions made him signed for FC Cologne to get more praxis for the world cup.

Position: Défenseur
Pierre Wome is the most stabil player in the national team.He is a solid defender with big experience on the left side.He can cover the ball with big abbility and comes out from difficult situations with his fine technic.
After playing 1994 and 1995 for canon de Yaoundé , he joined Vizenza in Italie for one year.A year later, he played for Lucchese in the seria B before he goes to AS Roma 1998. Since 1999 he is playing for FC Bologna in Italia.

Position: Défenseur
Bill Tchato is the “icecold newcomer”.He came to the lions after the injury of Njanka and he assured his place in the team quickly with solid and stabil defense working. Bill is a very professional player and a hardworker. He combines physical performance with tactical discipline.
Bill was formed in Caen. After five years in the second division he joined Montpellier 2000 in the fisrt division and directly assure his place in the fisrt team.

Mettomo,Lucien
Position: Défenseur
Mettomo lucien is a technical defender. He is called “ Mister clean” because of the low number of errors he commits in defense. He has also a good team sense of the game and can be often found at the other side of the field to put some goals.A really modern playing defender.
Lucien has started his formation and career 1996 by St Etienne in France and was captain before he leaves for manchester City at 2002 for $2.3 million. He will surely be the next libero of the lions after Raymond Kalla.

Position: Défenseur
Raymond kalla is a impressive defender with a perfect physical presence and an effective headgame.He is not the finest technical player and the fastest but he is the security in the defense of Cameroon because of his big will and tacles.
He started his career in Canon de Yaoundé and played for Panachaiki in greece before he joined Extramadura 1998.He is the Boss in the defense of the lions.

Salomon Olembe
Position: Millieux
Salomon Olembe is the king. The most powerful player at the left offensive side of the lions. He can change alone the face of a game with his suddent accelerations and killing driblings. With his 1m71 and 66 kg , salomon is a small player and this makes him very fast in face to face situations. He can also be used as a playmaker.
Olembe has started his career in cameroon and joined the formation center of Nantes. 1997 he played for the A team of Nantes and win the french cup 1999,2000. 2001 croned salomon as champion of the french league.
After difficulties with his trainer, he joined Olympique Marseille where he is preparing himself for the world cup.Salomon is a key player in any team he plays.

Marc vivien Foe

Marc-Vivien Foe is the colossus who provides a huge physical presence in the Cameroon midfield.He is the real motor of the cameroon team because of his abbility to block the attacks of the opponents and to relance the attack machinery of the lions trought long passes. He is often compared to Veron in the team of Argentina.Much fans means he his slow , but this is also a quality of a real lion.
After missing out the 1998 finals in France and a move to Manchester United he joined West Ham United 1999. After a short time there , he joined Olympique Lyon in France where he gets master this year.

Njitap Fotso,Jeremy Sorelle
Position: Millieux
Njitap Fotso Geremi is one of the leaders and also one of the most stabil players of the national team. Not a spectacular player, but realy effective in defense and on relancing the attack. His leadership has permitted to the lions to win the Olympic Gold at sydney and many new jung players are learning from his big experience that he got in many countries. Playing by real madrid makes him know how to block genial players like zidane or Figo.
After a good formation in cameroon, Geremi started his international career in Paraguay where he got Champion. He joined Gençlerbirligi 1997 in the turkey where he was croned as the best international player 1998. This make him sign by real madrid 1999 where he is a key player in the rotation system of the team. He was one of the best cameroonians at the last african cup in mali.

Etame has started his international career in Spain 1995 by Utrera.He goes then to FC Sevilla ,Levante,and real Mollorca before he joined Arsenal London on 2000.
He is a completed player because of his abbility to play offensive and defensive.
He impressed at the CAN 2000 in Nigeria where he was croned best player of the final. Technically perfect, he is known as a player who can run all the game long.
He has assured his place in the first team of Arsenal where only the best of french and englisch players are active.

Joel Epalle is a very stabil jung player who can be used for defensive an offensive work in the national team.He is a combative player and can be set as a star killer on the field. He also knows how to relance the game very fast after a defensive action. He is a fighter like Djemba.
Epalle is starting his international career in Panahaiki in greece and have already won three cups with the lions.

Eric Djemba Djemba has all to be a perfect midfield player like Kana Biyick. He is very aggressive on his way of playing and don´t let any space to his opponent.He is a game destroyer. Djemba was formed in a football academy in cameroon and joined Nantes where he got very fast a place in the first team. He will surely have a big career .

Anouldji is the “ Working Engine” in the midfield of the lions. He is a perfectionist and a blessed elegant technical player who can relance the game very fast after a blocking work. Anouldji has shown his talent in sydney and has played again France . He is been built to a top midfielder in the national team and his time is realy coming.
He is starting his international in Rize Sport in the turkey.

Ngon Kome Daniel

Ngon Kome was an important player in the Cameroon side which won the gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. This led to a national team call-up soon after and he was involved in the 2001 Confederations Cup. Played at the 1999 World Youth Cup and moved to Spain soon after from Cotonsport Garoua. Has spent time with Numancia and Atletico Madrid before joining his current club Levante.

Patrick suffo is a powerful acttacker with big technik and abbility to read the game very fast.He is the first jocker of Winfried Schäfer and has prooved that he can do more his team.
Patrick started his international career 1995 in FC Nantes. He joined FC barcelone for a short time before going again to Nantes where he stayed till 2000. He signed a contrat with Sheffield United and after difficulties with the manager , he is looking for a new club.

Puis Ndiefi is the terrible drilling king of the national team. It is very difficult to stop him went he comes face to face. He is a ground player who has learned more and more to play for the team, what he prooved at the last african nations cup in Mali. He showed that he is capable to remplace Mboma or Eto´o at a big level of a competition.He is working hard to perform his killing instinct in front of the goal.
Puis who is born in buea started his international career 1993 in Lens (France). He joined Valence two years later before signing 1996 by Sedan where he is making a good performance as a key player.

Patrick Mboma is the superstar in the cameroon team. The African player of the year 2000 is a big technical player with many trics and a killing left shoot. He can make a goal at every position and knows how to use his physical qualities.
He began his professional career in france by PSG. He went to japan where he was the best scorer in the J-league.After the world Cup 1998 , he joined Cagliari for two years. After a good performance, he was engaged by AC Parma on 2000. 2002 ,he makes a move to Sunderland where he can get more game praxis for the world cup.He feel himself very good to play in England.
Mboma will be a superstar in japan where he has many fans.

Position: Attaquant
Samuel Eto´o Fils, also called “ The jung Milla” is the biggest talent of the national team of Cameroon.He is a very explosive player who has a perfect ball control and no respect for defenders. He can also fixed an entire defense alone and knows when he has to set his dangerous dribbles or wait for more teamgame. He only need to perform his killing intinct ahead the goals.He combined very well with Mboma.
He started his international career 1997 with leganes in Spain.The he joined Real Madrid 1998.Since 1999 he is loaned to Real Mallorca where he is set in the first team. The coming World Cup can be his one.
