Suffo gets the boot
Cameroon striker Patrick Suffo has been sacked by Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.
World Cup striker Suffo played for Sheffield United in England and Numancia in Spain before moving to Saudi Arabia.
Suffo and ex-Manchester United star Andrei Kanchelskis were said to be surplus to requirements at the club.
"Both players failed to show momentum and composure when it mattered most," a senior club official was quoted as saying by the Al Hilal newspaper.
"It was just a bad assessment of the players´ capabilities and real capacity to associate themselves with the local game here," the official added.
Both players were signed before the arrival of Dutch manager Aad De Mos in late February, the former Ajax boss having replaced Romanian Ilie Balaci.
De Mos is the club´s third manager this season, following the resignation of Colombian Francesco Maturana in October.
Al Hilal placed fifth in the league this season.
