Geremi tipped to move on

Chelsea face a struggle to keep hold of utility star Geremi this summer with Middlesbrough poised to launch a bid to sign him.

The Cameroon international has spent the last four years at Stamford Bridge after joining from Spanish giants Real Madrid, but it looks as though a summer move is on the cards.

Ironically he first caught the eye of former boss Claudio Ranieri while he was on loan at the Riverside Stadium from Real in the 2002-2003 season and he could be on his way back to Teesside.

Geremi knows Boro boss Gareth Southgate well from his spell at the club and would cost around the £3 million mark, he also knows that a move to Middlesbrough would give him the chance to play regular first-team football again.
Sunderland, who are on the verge of promotion to the Premiership, are also said to be keen on a move.
