Foe deal in the balance
The Cameroonian midfielder, Marc-Vivien Foe, has convinced Manchester City they should sign him permanently, but his price may be too high.
On Easter Monday, Foe impressed City boss Kevin Keagan with two goals in a Premiership tie against Sunderland.
It was certainly a performance that won the heart of Keagan, who reportedly wants to keep the 27-year-old - if City can afford the price.
Foe`s former club Lyon, who loaned him to City on a year`s deal, have asked for a £7 million fee to make the transfer permanent.
But it is likely that Manchester City will not be able to afford the fee and negotiations may well prove tough.
According to Keagan, Lyon`s fee is unrealistic and would overstretch the budget of Manchester City.
City officials say paying the money will be wasteful because Foe will be out of contract next year.
