Cameroon call up Idrissou
Mohamadou Idrissou has replaced injured striker Samuel Eto`o in the Cameroon squad for this weekend`s Nations Cup tie against Equatorial Guinea.
The forward, who plays for German second division side Duisburg, rejoins the Indomitable Lions set-up for the first time since the 2004 Nations Cup.
Poor form had kept the player out of the international limelight but new Cameroon coach Arie Haan has selected the 26-year-old after Eto`o`s knee injury.
The Barcelona star and reigning African Footballer of the Year is expected to be out of action until February after surgery corrected a tear in the meniscus of his right knee.
After one round of matches, Cameroon top Group 5, which also includes Liberia and Rwanda.
The Indomitable Lions host Equatorial Guinea, who lie second in the group on goal difference, in Yaounde on Sunday.
