Olembe signs up for Marseille
Cameroon midfielder Salomon Olembe has completed his move to Olympique Marseille, while his team-mates are still waiting what the future holds.
The player can now concentrate on the World Cup after Nantes president Jean-Luc Gripard confirmed on Wednesday that the club has reached financial agreement with Marseille.
The gifted midfielder, who had a splendid outing at the African Nations Cup in February, joined Marseille on loan in December and his performances were adjudged satisfactory for new coach Alain Perrin to make him his first signing for the season.
But the situation is not yet clear for a number of Cameroon internationals as Parma striker Patrick Mboma is still awaiting confirmation of a permanent move to Sunderland after joining The Black Cats on loan.
Meanwhile, out-of-favour West Ham defender Rigobert Song is desperate for a move away from Upton Park after spending six months on loan with German outfit Cologne.
"I definitely don`t want to play in the lower division and my manager is working on something for me," said Song, who is also interesting Bayern Munich.
Chelsea are understood to be interested in Real Madrid midfielder Geremi Njitap, who clinched his second European Championship medal with the Spanish giants in Glasgow.
