Egypt name team for Cameroon game (29.09.2005)
Ahmed "Mido" Hossam is one of seven Europe-based players who have been called up for next weekend`s final World Cup qualifier against Cameroon.
Veteran goalkeeper, Nader El Sayed however has been dropped from the 28-man squad announced by Pharoahs coach Hassan Shehata while Ahly`s defender, Emad El Nahas will miss the game through suspension.
This final Group Three game will be important for coach Shehata, who has been criticized by members of the Egyptian Football Association for the country`s poor performance in the World Cup campaign.
A less than favourable result in Yaoundé could end Shehata`s hopes of leading his country in the African Cup of Nations finals which Egypt will host next January.
